Rize

In the summer we went to Rize. It's in the northeast of Turkey, close to the Georgia border. It's where Aytun is from - they moved to Istanbul when she was about 3 - and her dad has a house there. The family were so welcoming and we are both so pleased that we went there.

The village is called Findikli - meaning 'with nuts' - guess what they grow a lot of....

It's also tea growing country. Lots of it.
